OVERDENTURE

What is it?

It is a denture that is secured by precision dental attachments to hold the denture down. The overdenture attachment can be placed in tooth roots that have been saved, or placed into dental implants which have been placed to receive them. A regular denture that rests on the gums tends to fit less firmly.

The overdenture has special attachments that snap onto the attachments of the implants providing better retention to the overdentures. The overdenture may be done in either the upper or lower jaw.
